Altyn-Emel National Park

Altyn-Emel National Park is one of Kazakhstan’s most diverse natural reserves, located about 250 km from Almaty. It’s known for the Singing Dune, which produces a humming sound in the wind, and the colorful Aktau and Katutau mountains shaped by ancient volcanic activity. The vast steppe is home to wild gazelles, onagers, and rare birds, offering a unique desert–mountain landscape.
