Kok-Zhailau Plateau

Kok-Zhailau is a scenic plateau located between Medeu and Shymbulak, just a short hike from Almaty. Surrounded by pine forests and alpine meadows, it offers panoramic views of the city and the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. The trail is moderately easy and very popular among locals for weekend hikes, picnics, and outdoor relaxation.
