The Kasteev State Museum of Arts is Kazakhstan’s largest and most important art museum, located in Almaty. Its collection includes over 25,000 works — from traditional Kazakh paintings and Soviet-era art to European and Oriental masterpieces. Named after Abilkhan Kasteev, the country’s first professional artist, the museum offers a calm, spacious atmosphere for exploring the region’s visual heritage.
Opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Closed on Mondays.
