About

Burkhan-Bulak is the highest waterfall in Kazakhstan, located in the upper gorge of the Kora River near the town of Tekeli, about 4–5 hours from Almaty. The cascade drops over 100 meters and is surrounded by steep cliffs, pine forests, and alpine meadows. The route to the site includes a scenic mountain road with viewpoints ideal for photography and picnics.

Opening hours: Open 24 hours (best visited May–September).
Address: Kora Gorge, near Tekeli, Almaty Region.
