Almaty Museum of Arts

The Almaty Museum of Arts is a private museum of contemporary art in the center of Almaty, next to Almaty Theatre and the Nurly Tau business district. Founded by collector Nurlan Smagulov, it presents Kazakhstani and Central Asian art alongside international projects. The collection includes more than 700 works: painting, sculpture, installations, and video art. The building is also known for the large outdoor sculpture by Jaume Plensa at the entrance.
